Join us for a festive evening at Lights on Dundee on Thursday, December 5th, from 5-8PM in the vibrant heart of Dundee. Experience the joy of the season with delightful photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus inside Dundee Bank and photos with Santa’s Helpers at the North Pole (near 50th and Dodge) at Fashion Forward Optical, along with live reindeer at Dark Horse Salon and Spa.

Join us for the revival of the beloved Lights on Dundee Gingerbread Contest brought to you by Dreamland Art Studio and eCreamery! After many requests, we are excited to bring this festive event back to the Dundee Neighborhood during our annual Lights on Dundee celebration.

Event Date: Thursday, December 5th

Location: 50th and Underwood, Dundee Neighborhood

Voting Time: 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Winners Announced: 7:45 PM 

Event Details:

Submission Deadline: Gingerbread creations must be delivered to designated tables outside of eCreamery at 50th and Underwood by 4:30PM on December 5th.

Voting: The public is invited to vote for their favorite gingerbread creations from 5:00-7:00PM during the Lights on Dundee event. Voting will occur via Historic Dundee's Facebook page.

Winners Announcement: Contest winners will be announced on-site at 7:45PM.

Official Rules:

• Your gingerbread creation must be made primarily out of edible materials—at least 75% of the materials used must be edible (though they will not be consumed).

• The creation does not have to be a traditional “house” — we welcome creativity!

Delivery of Creations:

• Deliver your gingerbread creation to the designated area outside eCreamery on December 5th by 4:30PM.

• Clearly mark your name and age on your creation for identification.

Display Duration:

 All creations must be removed by their owners before the end of the evening; any remaining creations will be discarded. Regrettably, we will not be able to display gingerbread creations throughout the holiday season this year.

 Age Divisions:

• Division 1: Ages 1 to 4 years

• Division 2: Ages 5 to 9 years

• Division 3: Ages 10 to 14 years

• Division 4: Ages 15 to 17 years

• Division 5: Ages 18 and Up

Prizes: 

Prizes will be awarded for 1st Place in each age division.
